Mrs. Wagner’s Grade 2 class has been having fun with colours and line. They have enjoyed learning about warm and cool colours, as well as mixing colours. Recently they studied the paintings of Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944). Check out their ‘Kandi’- Apples art project.

LPES received a $10,000 grant from the President's Choice Children's Foundation to use towards the Nutrition Program.

Mrs. McKnight’s Grade 3 Art class has been busy learning how to use oil pastels. They looked at Van Gogh’s Starry Night as inspiration for their own Starry Night Pumpkin project. Way to go everyone!

Mrs. Messer and Mrs. Walter’s Grade 1 class have been learning about Remembrance Day and created beautiful artwork to commemorate those that have served.

Mrs McKnight’s Grade 3 class worked very hard on their poppies in art class. They took the time to review why we wear a poppy at this time of year. They also discussed why we need to be thankful to our many veterans from past to present. Great job Grade 3s and thank you veterans!

Thanks to the generous donations from Remco Memorials, Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Souris Valley Industries, and dedication from QE, Souris, & Haig SCC members, an amazing tribute to Queen Elizabeth School, Haig School, and Souris School is outside Legacy Park Elementary School. These commemorative benches serve as a memory for everyone that attended the schools over the years and symbolize all three schools becoming a community at Legacy Park.
